After official confirmation from the club, Casillas leaves the "merengues" to slip on the shirt of one of the best clubs in Portugal, and an important figure in recent European football: Oporto.
The rumors about Casillas leaving the club were growing stronger in the past weeks, until his agent, Carlo Cutropía, confirmed Iker's wish to join the portuguese team.
He leaves after being in the spotlight of great moments and huge controversies, especially during the last few years, when his relationship with Mourinho caused the fanbase to question their captain.
During his career at Real Madrid, he has won 3 Champions Leagues and 5 Spanish Leagues, apart from numerous other titles. He has also been one of the starts of the Spanish National Team, winning 2 Eurocups and the 2010 World Cup, becoming a part of the most successful era of Spanish football.
