Split-screen was the lifeblood of multiplayer games back in the day. There was nothing quite like hanging out with a friend, each of you with a controller, and spending the day playing multiplayer on Split-screen together while laughs and curse words flew around. There were good games that were made legendary thanks to their Split Screen mode, like Goldeneye 64 (where choosing Oddjob was asking for a fight), Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat.
