Season 3 is here!

The first thing you may have noticed with the start of Season 3 is that a global wipe has taken place which will actually be the last mandatory server wipe. From now on, everything you do and achieve is here to stay, until it's lost on the surface after a brutal encounter with a Howler, mind you. Elections matter, but in the form of "don't get killed, friends."

On top of that comes a whole host of new and updated content: the aforementioned Howler, weapon variations, Free Loadout Runs, new campaign missions, an updated Prospect Station, and a nice sprinkling of rebalancing and bug fixes. If you want to know more, it's all available in the patch notes.
