Zimbabwe Independence Day

During the dissolution of the British Empire, one of its colonies, Southern Rhodesia, decided to declare its independence unilaterally. This meant that it was not recognized by other countries during its entire existence. In 1979 it returned under the British protectorate, and after the elections of April 18, 1980, it became independent again, this time with the name of Zimbabwe.
